About Us
The founder of Doggy Adventure, Raphaela, has had pets in her life for as long as she can remember! Her favourite activities to do as a child were play with her dogs in her backyard or snuggle the cat down the street. Her pets name were Rex (mutt), Lolita (daschhound), Penelope and Cherrie (both boxers), and Tequila (mutt). As a child she wanted to become a veterinarian but when the teens happened she decided to move to the US (from Brazil) instead of going to college to experience life as an au pair and travel around America! She remembers thinking to herself how wonderful could be to be an au pair for pets instead of little humans.
Raphaela ended up moving to Sydney, Australia where she got the opportunity from a local Facebook group to look after Marv, the boxer. She would have to provide him a big walk and lots and lots of love. Eventually, she was given an opportunity to work as full time dog walker and pet sitter for a reputable company where she gained 1+ year of experience walking 100+ dogs of all sorts of breeds (golden retrievers, labrador, kelpie, aussie, german sheperd, border collie, springer spaniel, cocker spaniel, beagle, bull dog, french bulldog, boxer, staffy, viszla, dalmatian, ridgeback, boerbel, doodles, cavalier, westie, norwich).
She found herself to be the happiest when around animals, life became colourful and a sense of purpose was born deciding to channel that energy into a pet care business to operate a safe, fun and professional life enrichment service for local dogs to give them happy, healthy lives providing off-leash adventures for dogs all across lower Sydney North Shore.
Raphaela continually reinforce polite behavior, good leash etiquette, and social skills and pride herself on developing great communication and relationship with her clients needs.
